College WritingCollege English is a College Now course offered through Southwest Minnesota State University for 4 college credits. At SMSU, this class is called English 151 Academic Writing. Assignments for this course will cover three areas: journal writing, writing assignments, and some grammar and usage lessons.
You will have six major writing assignments for this course: 1. Explain a Concept paper 2. Presenting Opposing Viewpoints paper 3. Researched Argument paper 4. Annotated Bibliography 5. Excuses for late papers due to a home computer not working or out of ink WILL NOT be accepted. Do not ask to e-mail a paper to me so that I can print it. That is YOUR responsibility. You will need one notebooks for this class. The notebook will be brought to class each day for notes, homework assignments, prewriting, outlining, etc. You will receive a high school grade and a college grade (from your SMSU professor) for this course. Your high school grade will follow the grading scale of the MCC English Department. |
